CyberWise is an educational program for primary and high schools aimed at combating cyberbullying. Using the insights and research of the Victorian Department of Education’s “Bully Stoppers” initiative, CyberWise has been created to help students, teachers and parents alike to “Speak Up Against Cyberbullying”.
Based on the core pedagogies developed by NIRODAH over years of
research and program development in similar areas, and in particular
another Bully Stoppers-based project, our Respect Ambassador Program
(RAP), CyberWise extends previous insights with the latest research in neuroscience and social psychology. NIRODAH’s core philosophies of empathy and the need to acknowledge trauma as a key basis for the perpetuation of bullying behaviours remain though, making CyberWise a unique blend of
insights into the fundamental causes and ultimate remedies to cyberbullying
in and outside of school contexts.
